COLUMBIA MISSOURIAN
In one of my current roles at the Columbia Missourian, I act as a copy editor at our interactive copy desk. During my shifts on the desk, I edit stories for both the online and print editions of the newspaper. I often rewrite headlines and cutlines for stories to boost their search engine optimization and to better convey the story's meaning. I also write social posts for many of the stories that I edit, along with working on larger packages for the paper.
